Good Morning, faithful blog reader! Let’s go down another cool thing your copier can do!

Picture this: There you are, at the copier. You’re printing or copying multiple pages, you pull them off the copier, then you staple them together in a neat little packet. You think to yourself “Stapling sucks! I wish there was a way a machine could do this for me!”

Well, friend, there is! Did you know that with a finisher, your copier CAN do that for you? Give Milton his red stapler back, and let your copier do the work! On a CopyLady copier, you can initiate stapling in multiple ways:

* From your PC: When you print that multi page document, you can go into the print settings, and select the option to staple. From there, head to the copier, and collect your freshly stapled copies.

* From the copier itself: When making copies, simply touch the Staple option on the screen, select your desired staple position and count, then hit start. Your copier will then staple your copies.

NOTE: To staple copies or prints, your copy/print job MUST have 2 or more pages to it. After all, there’s no point in stapling one sheet of paper.

I FORGOT TO STAPLE MY DOCUMENT! Oops! Well, that happens. Before you go charging off to steal your coworker’s stapler, remember that you have a copier that can staple! “But it already printed……”

That’s not a problem at all! Your copier can also double as an electric stapler, for those cases where you just need to staple. On your finisher (4,000 sheet model only), there will be some buttons. You will recognize these as the same staple position settings you seen in print settings AND on the copier screen. That’s right, If you have the big 4,000 sheet finisher, then you’ll also have the ability to do manual stapling. Simply press the button for your desired staple choice, and insert your documents into the left side of the finisher near the top. Once you have your documents in place, press the big green staple button, and your finisher will staple your papers, just as neatly as it would when printing or copying!

NOTE: Manual stapling is ONLY available on the 4,000 sheet finisher. It is NOT available on the 1,000 sheet finisher, or the 500 sheet inner finisher. Do note that all finisher options CAN staple through print and copy jobs.
