Learn why your TRS system is so important!

Awhile back, we talked about the Toner Replenishment System (TRS), and how it worked. Today, we’ll talk a little bit about how to help us maintain that system, so that it can continue to help YOU keep your machine going!
As you recall, our TRS system operates in one of two ways: Via a PC, or from a dedicated box on the machine itself. Therefore, we will list the ways YOU can help US keep YOU from running out of toner!
Remember, there is ZERO CHARGE to get on this system!
PC AGENT:
Keep the PC on as much as possible: Keeping the PC that the TRS agent is on as often as possible during your work week will greatly improve the accuracy of the readings we receive from your copier. Consider putting a note or label on the PC advising people not to turn it off.
Keep the PC on site: In order for TRS to work, the agent and copier need to be on the same network. If the agent is on a PC that leaves the site often, call us. We’ll help you move it to another PC, or switch you to a dedicated box.
Replaced the PC? Call us now: If you replaced the PC the agent was on, call us ASAP so that we may reinstall this agent to continue receiving this data from your copier. We can also send you the info you need to reinstall it on any PC of your choosing, or switch you to a dedicated box.
Don’t remove the agent: Uninstalling the agent software from your PC not only hinders the TRS system, but is also a breach of your service contract. If you see the EKM Insight agent on your PC, that is there for YOUR benefit. It will not cause any issues with your PC, nor will it do anything other than communicate with your copier for usage readings and toner levels.
DEDICATED BOX:
Do NOT tamper with or disconnect this box: Disconnecting this box from your copier not only hinders the TRS system, but is also a breach of your service contract. If you suspect that there is an issue with your copier that is being caused by this box, call us. We will instruct you to power cycle the box. If this fails, then we will authorize you to bypass it while we send a tech out to investigate and resolve the issue.
NOTE: Unauthorized disconnection of our TRS box can result in a service hold on your account.
Do NOT remove or disassemble the device: This unit is the sole property of Copylady INC. Only authorized CopyLady technicians may remove or relocate this device, unless expressly authorized by a CopyLady representative. You will be billed appropriately for any lost or damaged TRS boxes.
OTHER TIPS:
DO NOT ignore that email: If you get an email from us stating that your TRS system is not reporting, take it seriously! Call us! Check the PC that the agent is on, make sure it is turned on. If you have the dedicated box, ensure that it has not been disconnected. These emails will go out if your TRS agent has not reported to us for three (3) days. After 5 days, you will begin receiving phone calls. A service hold may also be applied to your account until this system begins reporting again. Remember, this system is not only used to keep you from running out of toner, it is also used for monthly billing.
Don’t be afraid to call us: If you need the TRS agent moved to a new PC, or you want to switch to the dedicated box, give us a call! There is ZERO CHARGE for this! We’ll even help you get it going! After all, this system helps YOU more than it does us!
